Bay sizes
Bay sizes must always be provided internally.

Bay window reinforcement
Bay windows are not manufactured fully reinforced - please specify on your order form if this is required.

Foiled products
All foiled products are knifed off as standard on Rehau, and shadow grooved on Deceuninck.

Gaskets and beads
Shepley will only accept orders incorporating either all white or all black gaskets and beads on Rehau orders. Deceuninck frames feature co-extruded gaskets in black only.

Handles directions
As a general rule Shepley will always attempt to point handles either outwards or downwards depending on the window being side or top hung. In the event of a single vent, right-handed handles will be used.

Handles delivery
All window handles are supplied loose within the glazing rebate to avoid damage during transit and storage.

Head drips
Please note that head drips are not supplied as standard and must be specified on your order.

Restrictor arm
Restrictor hinges are fitted as standard when a restricted opening is requested. If it is preferable to specify a restrictor arm (not part of the hinge) then the following size restrictions apply. The minimum drop required to fit a window restrictor is:

• 410mm for standard outer
• 430mm for heavy outer

Any frames under these sizes must be fitted with restrictor hinges.

Midrail in frames
Midrail can only be incorporated into a frame when heavy outer is used and Shepley cannot manufacture casements above midrail. In this instance frames will have to be split.

Mullion position
The standard mullion position is 600mm - if this is required please specify on your order.

Shaped frames
Shaped frames are manufactured in modular form and must be ordered on the shaped frame order form. The minimum sizes for shaped frames are:

• 120mm for standard outer
• 170mm for heavy outer

Slot vent position
Slot vents are fitted as standard through the head of the vent on internally glazed frames. Other options available are:

• Above a vent only using heavy outer
• Above a fixed window in both standard and heavy outer

Please note that externally beaded Rehau frames cannot have the slot vent through the vent.

Sill deduction
A deduction of 30mm will be made for sills (i.e. stub, 150 & 180mm).

Transom position
The standard transom drop for frames is 375mm - if this is required please specify on your order.
The minimum transom drop for a frame with an opening vent is:

• standard outer - 350mm
• heavy outer - 370mm
