Shaped conservatories can offer more space than other styles and are better suited to homes with a larger space available to extend into. The larger living spaces available could be ideal if you intend to use your conservatory for a dual purpose, such as a living room and dining area. The innovative design of a shaped conservatory provides an ingenious way of bringing two traditional style conservatories together in order to create a distinctive and contemporary conservatory.
They come in three main forms and are the combination of 2 conservatory styles. For homeowners who favour grandeur of the Victorian, but find themselves wanting more space, the P Shaped conservatory combines a Lean-to and Victorian design. The beautiful combination of styles allows you to benefit from the same splendour aesthetics, just on a larger scale.
Whilst an L Shaped conservatory is a combination of a Lean-to and Edwardian style conservatory, still allowing a majestic design, but with the added benefit that it can be designed and built to fit around the corner of a building. The L shaped conservatory is a great way to add space to more challenging spaces.
Another possible shape is the T shape; constructed by bolting two styles onto each other and usually an Edwardian and gable-end, in a T-Shape design. They are significantly larger than standard conservatories and better suit grander properties. With the larger size in mind, they have a multitude of purposes, such as a garden room or a gym. T shaped conservatories effortlessly connect the inside to the outside and the rectangular floor plan of the Edwardian segment makes them easy to furnish.
