We initially dealt with Ros in sales who was the reason we ended up choosing Bergson and Eaton from our 3 quotes for a new door. They were not the cheapest (but were open to negotiation when all the details had been settled), but Ros was the most engaged with our enquiry by far. She was stellar in responding to our many, many queries, and in the cases where she had to check with the manufacturer (Solidor), she even copied their replies to us so we could see what had been said for ourselves. Carl the surveyor was very helpful and even spotted a misunderstanding we had over a piece of hardware (that was not well displayed in the older edition Solidor catalogue we had acquired elsewhere), so saved us from choosing a letterbox we really would not have liked. Rob was the door/frame fitter on the day. He was very careful, thorough and meticulous about the smallest detail. It was refreshing to see that quality of "getting the job done right" still exists. I know this review may a seem a bit over-enthusiastic, but it's been years since we have seen such a level of old fashioned good service. I have, over a period of time, nearly completed the installation of most of the windows at my seventeenth century house. I have used Bergson & Eaton for all. The service has been as one would expect from a reputable Company such as this one and I am enjoying using these windows which have some special features which, for example, enable you to securely crack them open for ventilation, and also position them for easier cleaning. The wood windows are not cheap, but they are stylish and practical and well worth the investment on a property such as mine.
